Food Blog Forum Orlando: Recap - bakedbyrachel.com

Last week I mentioned how I was meeting up with some of my favorite food blogger friends at Disney. Here is a brief recap with mostly pictures, because who doesn’t love pictures? Or even better… pictures of some food! This is a food blog after all. This is the short and sweet version because my computer decided to not play nice and lost my original post. I have a love/hate relationship with technology.

Friday was basically meet and greet day: afternoon sweets at the Grill with friends, a quick evening reception and a date with Cinderella. Okay, just her castle and beautiful fireworks above. The aromas of turkey legs were intensely wafting around the park. They smelled ridiculously delicious but I couldn’t bring myself to eat after 10pm. Next time I’ll have to try them.

Saturday was our time to sit, listen and learn. There were many moments of laughter, thanks to Scott aka Mr Steamy Kitchen. And moments of tears brought on by Todd and Diane’s session. Yes, multiple moments. Todd and Diane are inspiring in so many ways. Of course there was lunch with a fun array of options, followed by more learning, laughter and deep discussions.

If you ever have the chance to go to a Food Blog Forum, I highly recommend it. You’ll learn a lot, while making memories with old and new friends. It’s always good to connect in person with those you interact with on a daily basis.

A huge thanks to Julie and Lindsay. FBF wouldn’t have been anywhere near what it was without all of their hard work.

Without further ado… a few fun pictures from the weekend.

The apple loaf was my favorite, followed by the brownie. You shouldn’t be surprised there.

Lunch by Disney! The turkey pot pie was amazing. I wish I had more of that and the pork tenderloin. Super delicious. Not to be forgotten, Monsters Inc. cupcake carnage with friends. Strangely enough, the plain ole vanilla was my pick for best flavor. Just right all around.

Probably one of the most hilarious moments all weekend. I love that ride. I however am not a fan of space mountain… at all.

Who knew I’d have such a tasty wrap in the airport of all places? I want to travel back to DCA just to get one. I might have an excuse or two to do just that.
