I promised I’d be sharing my favorite posts from the year. It’s really hard to choose just 10 favorite posts, especially when I already have 10 reader favorites that I need to avoid in my own list. I could very easily say that certain non-recipe posts were my favorites… a certain baby announcement, birthdays or even random goings on in my life. I decided to be fair, I’d stick to favorites that are primarily recipe related. Again… still super hard to sometimes narrow down but I did it. I can only imagine what my top 10 will look like next year. Continue Reading
I made this before Thanksgiving. A full week to be exact. So I’ve been sitting on this recipe for a bit. Sometimes that happens. If you’re a food blogger you understand, if not… well, it happens more than people like to admit sometimes. We cook ahead of holidays. Days, weeks, sometimes even months ahead. People prepare. Now this isn’t the case here, it’s just that I didn’t want to push this recipe on you before or immediately after Thanksgiving. Continue Reading
I love food ideas that can be easily be used in multiple recipes with slight adaptions. My mind is always going, trying to think of the next possibility. One day I literally sat and was brainstorming buffalo chicken recipes. Oh the possibilities. This is one of the many I thought of that day. It’s simple, definitely tasty for buffalo lovers and can be great as an appetizer or main dish.
As an appetizer, this could be a very fun party food. Keep in mind you’d definitely want to have these prepped ahead and fry just prior to serving. Alternatively you could have the oven at your lowest temperature and pop these suckers in on a tray to keep warm until serving. Continue Reading
I’d been planning this for a while. You know how it goes… you put a recipe on the to-do/to-make list, forget to get the ingredients and have to wait till the next shopping trip because you don’t want to go back out. Well then you get all of the ingredients but one major one, uhm… the chicken. Yeah, it’s kind of a key ingredient. I swear this took me several weeks to finally get around to making. But when I did get around to making it… wow, it was easy, fun and smelled great!
Now let me clearly state that as with many other items I sometimes make and share, this was not for me. Hubs is the buffalo fan. I’m a bbq fan. So when I mixed up the pizza dough, half went to my dinner … bbq chicken pizza and the other half was reserved to make these calzones the next day. Note that I didn’t use the dough from the linked pizza. I used this delicious quick and thick pizza dough. Continue Reading
