I’m thankful for the health and well being of my family. You are absolutely right, it would be nice to pay this forward and I have a couple of people in mind. We actually don’t usually have a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. We run a Turkey Trot on that morning and its easier to prepare an Italian dinner, I usually make up a lasagna a day ahead.

last year for Thanksgiving I was in the hospital on “nothing by mouth”. It had already been for 6 days and I would be on nothing by mouth for a total of 3 weeks and in the hospital for 4 weeks. Finally in July the surgeon said he was not sharpening his scalpel; I was totally healed and he would not need to do a second surgery. I am happy to be healthy and home for Thanksgiving this year.
