Servings: 4 plus
- 1 C whole milk
- 1 C heavy cream
- 3/4 C granulated sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 C lime juice freshly squeezed
- 1-2 drops Americolor Leaf Green optional
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, heavy cream, sugar and salt. Stir to dissolve sugar. Remove milk mixture from heat. Cover and chill thoroughly, at least 4-6 hours or overnight.
Stir in lime juice and optional food color prior to churning.
Churn according to manufacturer's directions.
Transfer mixture to a freezer safe container. Freeze until firm or desired consistency is reached.
