Buttermilk Strawberry Sherbet

Sweet homemade buttermilk sherbet, requiring only four simple ingredients.

  • 2 C strawberries hulled and chopped
  • 1/2 C honey
  • 1 1/2 C buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice


  • Combine all ingredients in a blender. Process until smooth. Strain if desired. Transfer to a covered container, chill at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Add to the bowl of an ice-cream maker. Churn according to manufacturer's directions. Transfer to a freezer safe container. Freeze until nearly solid. If scooping at a later time, remove 15 minutes prior to scooping. Use a warm ice cream scoop or spoon to remove sherbet.
