In a medium sauce pan, bring 3 cups water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add tea bags, cover and let sit for 10 minutes. Your water will be very dark now in comparison to the caramel color it starts out when you first add your tea bags. Remove and discard tea bags. Add 1/2 cup sugar. Stir until dissolved.
Carefully pour into your beverage pitcher of choice. Pour in 4 cups cold water. Add thawed lemonade. Stir well.
If you prefer no pulp, pour lemonade into a mesh strainer over a small bowl. Transfer strained liquid into your iced tea.
