In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until smooth and fluffy. Mix in vanilla and milk, followed by salt and flour. Mix until fully combined and no streaks remain. Stir in chocolate chips by hand. Enjoy immediately or cover and chill until ready to enjoy.
To make cookie dough balls, chill dough for several hours to firm up slightly. Use a small cookie scoop to create equal portions. Roll dough into smooth balls and place in the freezer. Can be enjoyed straight from the freezer and refrigerator or allowed to sit at room temperature for several minutes to soften further.
