A classic apple dish that is just as tasty as apple pie without all of the hard work. A perfect year round treat!
1/3Call purpose flour
1/3Clight brown sugar
1/3Cold fashioned oats
1/4Ccold buttercut into small pieces
1/4Clight brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Prepare topping in a medium bowl. Combine dry ingredients. Add chopped butter. Using a pastry blender or forks, blend together until small chunks have formed. Continue working until most of the butter has broken down. Set aside.
Peel and slice apples into large pieces. Add apple slices to a large bowl.
Add brown sugar and cinnamon to large bowl with apples. Toss to coat well. Add apples to baking dish. Sprinkle with topping mixture.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender.
