A new design has been in the works for a while. I wanted to freshen things up in time for my third blogiversary which is just barely a week away. It’s been so hard to keep all of this under wraps. I’ve seriously been itching to share the news with you. Out with the old and in with the new, thanks to Lindsay of Purr Design (You might also know her from Love and Olive Oil).

This design is far more user friendly than my previous one, which was quite frankly a pain in the ass even for me to work with at times. Easily accessible pages and lookie lookie even a recipe box… which we’ll get to soon enough. ;)

Ready for a tour?

Ta-da! The new and beautiful header. It came to me in a dream one night. No joke. It just fits since I like to think that we put a little love into the food we make. Right? I know, totally cheesy but also true.

In the sidebar you’ll find some new fun items and very important standard features. Follow me all over the place. I know that sounds kind of stalker-ish but it’s okay. I love to interact with my readers so join me! I don’t want you to miss a single thing happening on Baked by Rachel, those handy dandy buttons will help you stay connected and interact with me on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest and Instagram! PS… if you join me on Facebook, we have a bi-weekly question night and tonight just so happens to be that week! Join me from 8-9pm EST for a fun foodie chat. :)

Here you can also subscribe to my feed by RSS or if you’re not into that… email! Yep that’s right, have every post sent directly to your inbox. Never miss a single post or delicious recipe.

Up top it’s pretty self explanatory, click on any of the links in the navigation bar to be taken to the associated page. Hover over the recipe index to see categories or click on ‘recipe index’ to be taken to the page for even more options.

Search by keyword, tag or category.

Want to share my posts with your friends and family? You can easily do so from the top and bottom of any post!

The general search function is located on the right as well. In addition to some fun features such as my favorite items as easily purchased on Amazon… check em out! I try to update it when I come across something new I love and if I use a certain tool or gadget in my posts, it’s listed there. Also, below that you’ll find my Instagram feed. I couldn’t help but add that.

Okay moving on… making life even easier for you. I have a second follow location at the bottom of the page.

Last but certainly not least… do you use ZipList? If you do YAY! You can now add Baked by Rachel recipes easily to your recipe box. If you don’t, here’s a basic rundown: ZipList is a free service where you can create your own online recipe box. You can save recipes from any participating site to your box which also allows you to add the ingredients of those recipes to a shopping list! Handy! Simply click “save” within my recipes and it’s added to your box. Voila! You can access your recipe box at the top of the page, yup ^^^ all the way up there to the top right.

If you happen upon anything that’s not working or missing, please let me know! I hope you like the new design as much as I do. :)
