An easy and flavorful apple crisp recipe. A classic apple dish that is just as tasty as apple pie without all of the hard work.

I’ve been craving apple pie since I ran out of apples sometime last year. No I’m not even remotely kidding. I love apple pie. I crave it. I need it. And when the good apples aren’t around it’s pure torture. I know this isn’t pie, but honestly it’s just as good if not better depending on how you look at things.

You see… from what I’ve learned, a lot of people fear making pie. Just like a lot of people fear making cheesecake. Neither are to be feared at all, seriously. I may not be able to hold your hand through the process but I can offer tips. However, you need zero hand holding or encouragement for this dish. Like I said… just as good as pie or better but it’s not pie! It’s easier by probably 1000x. That helped settle my craving for pie much faster.

Trust me when I say you absolutely need to go gather your ingredients right now and make this for dessert… or breakfast, lunch, dinner… whatever. By my book, this is a perfectly acceptable meal because it’s healthier than a lot of other options out there. It’s loaded with apples, has oats and brown sugar. Brown sugar is totally healthy, right? Just nod and agree with me. Eat it warm or cold, served with ice cream or not. Your choice! Though I vote warm and no ice cream. Or ice cream on the side. I don’t like melting ice cream ruining a delicious apple dish!

All of the apple pie love without the fear and hard work.

Make it. Now.
