A Simple Salad

Sometimes I just want a salad. Nothing fancy or time consuming to make. Simple and tasty is my method at home.

Today, even though I really want some potatoes covered in cheese and bacon…I decided on a salad for lunch. A yummy, in my opinion of course, and very simple salad. Romain, Ken’s light Italian dressing and some peppered croutons. Mmm mmm. So good.

My second favorite salad is a good chicken Caesar salad. Though honestly, I rarely make it at home. I love ordering it when we’re, on the extremely rare occasion, eating out. Do you have a favorite salad?

I promise I’ll be washing this down with a slice of pie or other delicious treat. And possibly potatoes later in the day… it’s totally acceptable, especially since its raining and I’ll need something to warm me up. ;)

    I usually stick with the same basic salads… besides, I’d rather focus my creativity on dessert!

    My go to salad:

    romaine in a chiffonade
    grape tomatoes
    red onion

    with a dijion mustard, garlic, crushed red pepper, wine vingear, and extra virgin oliv oil dressing

      The dijon mustard idea has me wanting a chicken finger salad lol so bad… so good :)

    I love simple salads. I love all salads. I think Greek might be my favorite.

    My favorite salads are anything that combines goat/blue cheese, candied nuts, and fruit. Not the healthiest salads, but still delicious!

    i tend to order caesar when i’m out too! i love salads that are simple (yet still yummy)!

    We usually have salad once or twice a week for the main course. I throw lots of stuff in there, including sliced pear or apple, and always some kind of nut and a dried fruit, too. But as a side? Simple is the way to go!
