I’m always amused when things from my childhood make an appearance again. I’m not complaining, it’s all harmless and cute kid stuff… My Little Pony’s, bright clothes, Strawberry Shortcake and now… Trolls! I don’t remember being a huge Troll fan growing up, but I definitely had a few dolls and at least one ornament. The crazy hair was the big draw, and I imagine still is! The moment I saw a preview for the new Trolls movie, I knew I’d want to take the kids. As luck had it, we were invited to a party at the movies where we got to see it! If you have elementary school aged kids, it’s definitely worth a watch… even if you decide to wait until it’s on DVD! It’s super cute and packed full of fun songs…and plenty of classics the adults are sure to recognize!

I also had the chance to watch The Age of Adaline again this weekend. There are certain movies that no matter how many times I’ve seen them, they’re guaranteed to make me cry. I didn’t remember crying the first time watching it, but it sure happened again this weekend. It’s like The Notebook… I can count on always crying during that one. So, I only plan to watch it if I’m prepared to be a mess.

Book update! I recently read Exhume. Apparently I’ve started to enjoy suspense and mystery books lately. It was one of those free Kindle books a month or two ago, so I figured I’d give it a shot. It was really good. I’m already looking forward to the second one. If you happen to love mystery/suspense/thriller type books, you should definitely give it a try.

I’ve turned my school pick-up time into reading time, most days. This way, I’m at least getting in 20 minutes a day reading, which is better than nothing! Sometimes I wish I had more time to keep going. You know, when you get to a really good part and are sad you have to put it down. Have you ready anything really good lately?

It’s perfect timing that I’m sharing a cocktail because tomorrow, you’ll likely either want to celebrate or drown your misery in a stiff drink… right?! Either way, this is the drink to do that with.

I classic drink with a fun seasonal twist.

I love apple cider and fully believe that apple cider is served best with the warmer/darker liquor, like whiskey or bourbon. It’s classic and the flavors go so well together. But, tequila is traditional for margaritas. What’s a girl to do?! Combine them of course!

A sweet seasonal cocktail, perfect for all of your Fall events or for any night of the week! Easy homemade apple cider margaritas, rimmed with sweet cinnamon-sugar! Fresh apple slices are the perfect finishing touch! This is a must make Fall cocktail for all apple cider fans!

What a beautiful drink Rachel! I love the floating star anise. Lovely. I just read “All the Light We Cannot See” and it was excellent. I’m just starting “The NIghtingale” now!

Hello everyone! Has anyone tried to make this as a warm or hot drink? I thought Apple Cider might be good warm but wanted your opinion? I was looking for something to serve at a party & thought I could put this in a crock pot on the warm setting to serve like a punch?

It would be worth doing a test run in a saucepan before doing a larger batch. Enjoy!
