Double Chocolate Banana Muffins
Easy homemade moist double chocolate banana muffins! A fun way to enjoy chocolate for breakfast or snack!
I’m having a hard time believing we’re already at the end of the school year. Even more so… the last pre-school experience for my kids. They’re growing up too fast! I’m not ready. I keep asking them to stop growing. Don’t get any bigger. Just slow down. Some days they agree, especially my youngest. Other days they laugh, thinking I’m silly and tell me they can’t stop growing. Maybe if I click my heels together hard enough or twitch my nose or blink real hard I can make a wish and slow down time. If only! I’m sure most parents wish for that fairly often.
With summer break literally just days away for us, I’m trying to come up with fun yet budget friendly ideas to do. I’d love to make a list of ideas to do with the kids over break… whether it be crafts, adventures, etc. I’ve started pinning some fun ideas for later but I’d love to hear your ideas for activities and/or crafts!
Speaking of activities, the other day my youngest and I surprised the girls with a water gun fight, as they were getting off of the bus. We hid behind a bush and ran out, squirting them like crazy. I was happily surprised by their reactions. They were ready to get in on the action and even followed the few rules I had – no spraying in the face and the deck was a safe zone. What they don’t know is we have a water balloon fight planned if the weather cooperates. Fingers crossed for a really hot day sometime in the next week! The last day of school would be ideal but it’s not looking so great for that.
I almost always have a banana or two that gets too ripe to enjoy eating. And I’m not usually a fan of them in my smoothies. That means they’re destined for baking!
Banana bread is a no brainer. But muffins are usually more my style. No slicing. Easy to enjoy on the go. Already perfectly portioned. And, the flavor possibilities are endless!
Chocolate and banana go amazingly well together, so that’s what had to happen this time.
Super moist homemade double chocolate banana muffins! A perfect snack or breakfast on the go. And, a super fun way to enjoy some chocolate early in the day! Bonus, if your kids don’t always like bananas, this is a great way to sneak them into their diet!
Add these easy chocolate banana muffins to your baking plans this week! You’ll be glad you did!

Thanks Patricia!
Just made something similar. Great way to cure a chocolate craving with something a bit more healthy than a brownie.
Agreed! A perfect way to enjoy some chocolate! :)
I had a few bananas that were at the perfect stage of ripeness so I baked up a batch one morning for my son and WOW! These were so good! I couldn’t let the rest of the bananas go to waste, so I baked 2 more batches the next morning and sent them over to the neighbors. Everyone loved them! This recipe is so quick and easy. It’s definitely going into my book of favorite recipes.
The ONLY thing I didn’t do was use the cupcake liners only because I’m not a fan of those and I rarely use them. Otherwise, these muffins came out wonderful! Thanks for sharing this delicious recipe!
So glad everyone enjoyed them! Thanks so much for sharing, Beth! :)
