Homemade Garlic and Herb Croutons
Easy homemade garlic and herb croutons, crisp and flavorful! A perfect addition to your favorite salad, soup or enjoyed as is!
I feel like it’s been Spring for a while now, since this Winter has been extra strange. And because of that, it feels like it should be Summer soon. I know… not quite. In fact, we’re supposed to get snow today and sometime over the weekend. Such a rollercoaster Winter weather wise. Ready for it to be over. How about you? At least the Robins’ have started showing up. To me, that’s a good sign that Spring really is on it’s way for real this time.
I know you’re dying to know that I finished Gilmore Girls this week. Clearly at some point I gave up on the show when it was originally airing because I don’t remember the last season at all. I’m kind of bummed how it ended but it leaves a world of possibilities for the new season. I wish they’d hurry up and get it done already, but my guess is it probably hasn’t even started filming yet.
Just 5 more weeks until Game of Thrones… are you ready? Are you all caught up? I feel like I want to do a refresher, but we’ll see if that happens.
School vacation is quickly approaching so I’m looking for some great books to read. I’m totally out of the loop, so send me your best recommendations for must read books… the kind you that are so good, you just can’t put them down.
When I was little, I used to try to steal the croutons off of my parents’ salads. They were my favorite part. Crunchy little bits of awesomeness. The best part of a salad.
I still love croutons, but having them around the house is problematic. We all hear them calling to us from the cabinet. Taunting us. Reminding us they’re still there. Okay, I’m being silly. But really, they’re just so good, they’re truly irresistible. Completely snack-able.
When we indulge in croutons these days, they’re of this variety. Not only because they’re ridiculously good. But, also because I can control the ingredients and know that they’re allergy friendly. It may surprise some, but so many store brand croutons aren’t peanut allergy friendly. Crazy right? Homemade is the way to go.
Safe. Easy. Flavorful. And wallet friendly.
Ditch the store bought croutons and whip up these super easy homemade garlic and herb croutons for your next salad or soup…or to snack on. I won’t judge one bit.
I’d like to say they’ll last for quite a while stored well… but truthfully, they’re just so good, they may not last very long at all.
