I love what makeovers can do to a room. We’ve been living in our house for over seven years now and we’ve finally getting around to redoing the master bedroom. The timing was never right, until recently. Other, more important, things always came up or got in the way. New furniture is a big plus. But my favorite part is the walls. We went from a weird brick red color to a light mint shade. I’m in love with it. And we’ve decided it makes the room look so much bigger too. I’m still searching for the perfect bedding, but bit by bit it’s coming together.

Next room on my list to tackle… the master bath. I’d love to gut it but a mini makeover will have to suffice.

Have you seen the trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them? I’m so excited for it! The second I saw the trailer, I immediately wanted to read the book. Which, unfortunately isn’t super easy to get your hands on anymore. I lucked out and found a copy in great condition on eBay. Even without reading the book, I knew I’d be seeing the movie. A fun extension of the Harry Potter series. I can’t get enough!

My kids are always super excited when we have dip around. I used to just make it for parties and serve it with the usual veggies, but at some point we started having it more frequently. It’s almost a staple at this point.

And, since it’s so easy to fly through a container with five people enjoying it, it makes sense to make my own mix. Keep it on hand, whip up some dip in no time. Simple, easy to pronounce ingredients with no question as to what other stuff is in the mix. Basic spices, herbs and dry buttermilk. It’s that simple! You probably already have most of the ingredients in your pantry or cabinets!

This homemade ranch mix can easily be used to create the perfect dip or creamy dressing! A new staple for your pantry!

Where do you find buttermilk powder? I can’t wait to try this! Homemade ranch without the msg in Hidden Valley!

It should be in the baking aisle near the other powdered ingredients (baking powder, cornstarch etc).

I love, love, LOVE this! You’re right about going through a container of dip so quickly — how fab that you can just keep this on hand to serve whenever! Pinning for later – can’t wait to try it!

Really want to try this, because the store bought mixes are so salty! Just wanted to make sure before I make: In the Directions to make Dressing, you say to use 3 T. of the Homemade ranch dip = did you mean the dry ranch seasoning mix OR 3 T. of the Dip you give the directions for? Thank you!

Ha! Thanks for catching that. I clearly had dip on the brain. 3 Tablespoons of seasoning mix should be used to create either dip or dressing. Enjoy!! :)
