This post is sponsored by the Ohio Soybean Council & Ohio Pork Council. Because of partnerships with brands I trust and believe in, I’m able to continue bringing you great content and recipes. As always, all thoughts and opinions are completely my own.

I’m still adjusting to my new schedule now that all of the kids are in school. Mornings are busier than ever and afternoons are full of homework and catching up. That doesn’t always leave a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. But, carving out 5 minutes in the morning means dinner is a piece of cake.

This pork takes less than 5 minutes to prep and then the slow cooker does all of the hard work for you while you’re at work or doing errands. Come home to fall off the bone, super flavorful pork ready to be devoured. It’s perfect to eat as is, but I highly recommend slathering it with sweet homemade barbecue sauce for an especially tasty sandwich!

A perfect busy weeknight (or any night) recipe!

Also, this apple cider pulled pork is magical. I’m not even remotely kidding…

My kids can be fairly choosy eaters at times, especially my youngest. But all three of them were basically begging for seconds. And, they all requested to have it for lunch the next day! A huge recipe win.

Dinner and lunch leftovers for a family of five and this meat was gone… and everyone left asking for more, which means this is absolutely happening again in the not so distant future!

Magical flavorful pork. And ridiculously easy. Do you need any other reasons to make this?

Any way you choose to eat this, you’ll be happy. Just be sure to grab a nice portion before it all disappears!

Ingredients

  • 4-5 lb pork shoulder bone-in
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 yellow onion sliced
  • 1 1/2 C apple cider

Instructions

Slow cooker meals are the best, especially when pulled pork is involved! Love the addition of apple cider to this!

Pork is the one thing that no matter the recipe, as long as it’s pork my whole family will dig in without any complaining. Can’t wait to try this recipe!

This looks absolutely amazing. My husband is always buying random jugs of apple cider to use as a liquid when he smokes meat. So even in July sometimes, we’ll have a few cups of apple cider sitting around in the fridge. Now I know what I’ll do with it from here on out!

Every year I have big plans for things to make with apple cider but then I drink it all before I have a chance to cook with it! I love the idea of this pulled pork though so I may need to buy extra to make sure it happens. Especially that BBQ sauce!
