Blondie Brownies

Simply delicious.

Is it a cookie? Is it a brownie? It seems like a bit of both. But does it really matter what it’s called when it tastes this good? Definitely not.

These are quick and easy to whip up, requiring very basic ingredients. So if you do any kind of regularly baking, you should almost definitely have the needed supplies on hand. I got this recipe from my aunt, my go to person when I’m looking for a recipe or have some kind of cooking related question.

Blondie Brownies

Prep Time5 minutes
Cook Time30 minutes
Total Time35 minutes
Course: Dessert
Keyword: Chocolate
Servings: 12

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 Cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 Cups all purpose flour
  • 1 Cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Cup pecans or walnuts chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F°. In a stand mixer or large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Add your eggs and vanilla, blending well and scraping sides as needed. Mix in remaining dry ingredients. When you have a nice smooth batter, add in your chocolate chips and nuts. Transfer to a greased 13x9" baking pan. Cook for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool completely before cutting. You may want to dive right in but it won't cut well. Been there done that, but sometimes it's just too hard to resist. If you want nice smooth cuts and solid pieces, wait.
