Lemon-Lime Blue Slushie
Lemonade and lime soda, blended into a perfect frozen Summer drink. Add a few drops of color for a fun spin!
Every Summer I go through phases of drinking massive amounts of lemonade. To me, it’s such a seasonal treat. I can’t picture drinking it any other time of the year, so why not enjoy it to the fullest when it’s peak season. It’s kind of like hot chocolate… do you ever drink that in the Summer? Maybe it’s just me, but I reserve hot chocolate for cool Fall and Winter days and nights.
It’s nice to be able to open the fridge or freezer and have a cool treat ready to go. Chilled tart lemonade over ice or frozen and slushie, either way is perfectly delicious and an absolute essential Summer drink. Quick to mix up and definitely quick to devour! Do you have a fun go to Summer drink?
Are you ready for the upcoming holiday? Is your menu planned or still deciding what to make? My menu is still up in the air, since we have a birthday to celebrate. Of course there will be cake! And I know this will definitely be on the menu too! My kids couldn’t get enough of it. They loved the tart lemon-lime flavor and really loved the fun bright blue color!
With the 4th of July but mere days away, it seemed necessary to share a super easy and delicious last minute drink to throw together. Fill a large drink container full of this delicious concoction and watch it disappear. Easy lemon-lime blue slushies, a fun twist on a classic drink. The blue color is fun and festive for a patriotic celebration. Want to add some red to it? Top it off with a cherry or strawberry!
Fun, festive and tasty! A perfect drink for the entire family this 4th of July!

This is the perfect 4th of july drink! yum
Thanks Layla!
I just showed my son this and he goes, “Dad, we have to make this!”. We are big slushie fans, so that’s not surprising. Love this!
It’s a must make for sure then! :)
Looks great Rachel!
Where can I get this food coloring? I’m anxious to make these for some friends this weekend.
If you’re within the US, you can find McCormick liquid food color in most grocery baking aisles, and likely in major chains like Walmart and Target. Just be sure to grab the neon color for this one! Enjoy!
This looks so refreshing!
Thanks Rachel!
I love just because it’s blue! So pretty.
Have a marvelous day Rachel!
Thanks Melanie!
Add a cherry on top and you have a 4th of July drink! Voila!
This looks yummy and colorful. Two of my favorite things.
Thanks Rebecca!
So fruity and bright Rachel! These are just plain FUN!
Thanks Sally!
Oooh, yes!!! This is what I need to help cool off in these hundred degree temps!
Absolutely! :)
This reminds me of the bright blue slushies at 7-11…. only I am sure this tastes a million times better!
Homemade is always better! :)
Hi Rachel,
How would I change the ingredients (in terms of portions) if I am making this for about 16 people
Simply increase to your desired amount. Current amounts listed serve roughly 4.
