Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie
An easy and refreshing 4-ingredient fruit smoothie that is bursting with flavor!
I finally got to watch The Martian over the weekend. If you’ve been holding off on watching it for any reason, you definitely need to add it to your must see list. It was longer than I would’ve expected for a movie that, for the most part, took place in one area. I jokingly compared it to Phone Booth, thankfully it wasn’t anything like that. I wasn’t bored, even the slightest bit. And given that it went later than I would normally have stayed up, I also didn’t fall asleep. I can’t say the same for many other movies. They definitely have to hold my interest or I’ll easily fall asleep if it’s getting late.
We’re totally slacking on the gingerbread house thing this year. I bought a kit way back in early December, with intentions of obviously decorating it before Christmas. We forgot. It sat untouched, in it’s box. So, we moved on to it being a Valentine project. Oops… that didn’t happen either. I guess the good thing is maybe we can reuse some of the Valentine candy for a St Patrick’s Day house… right? I might have to buy another bag of hearts so it can have a rainbow roof and find some gold coins. But, it could totally work. I hope. If not… it’ll be an Easter house. The good thing is that it doesn’t get eaten so it doesn’t really matter if it gets old. I’m sure it does have some kind of expiration date though. I should look into that. I promise I’ll report back as soon as it’s made. Or, just keep an eye out on Instagram or Snapchat. I’m sure I’ll share about it there.
Also… what is up with this weather?! The groundhog sure is a giant liar. I swear the moment after he announced Spring was coming, we got hit with snow. And then again. And then over this past weekend we got hit with extreme temps… a real feel of -41°F early Sunday morning. Brrr. I’m SO ready for Spring. Back in December and January we were way above our typical temps and now we’re way waaaay below average. I like roller coasters but not when it comes to the weather.
I’m not a regular smoothie maker because I find most recipes can be bland or just not meet my expectations. I’m also not a fan of greens in my drinks. I have a thing about green drinks. Even if people swear they taste good or you can’t taste the veggie, my brain is hardwired to not trust that.
Smoothie’s should typically be bright and fun colors, screaming of their fruitiness. Not green.
This smoothie is anything but bland. It’s quite possibly the best smoothie I’ve ever had and definitely my favorite homemade smoothie so far. This simple 4-ingredient smoothie is absolutely bursting with flavor. It got thumbs up from everyone in the entire family! A big win!
If you love fruit smoothies that actually taste fruity… and good, you definitely need to try this easy strawberry pineapple smoothie. I’m positive you’ll love it!

Now this, this looks so good right now! I could down that smoothie in a heartbeat :) Love the combination you did and can I just say my mouth is in absolute “watering mode” over this ;) NEED ONE ASAP!
Thanks Taylor!
Ok if you make a St. Patrick’s Day or Easter gingerbread house I want to see a picture on Instagram! You guys really have been getting crazy weather and I don’t envy your freezing temps at all right now. I’d much rather sip one of these smoothies on my deck one afternoon this week in our 70 degree temps! ;-)
I’m trying to brainstorm the ideas for a St Patty’s day house but we’ll see if it even happens. You’ll definitely see it if it happens but it might not be pretty lol. ;)
Rachel, I pinned this great recipe for later. I’m totally with you regarding the dislike (probably really just in my head) of the idea of green smoothies; seems like they should be fruity, and I can’t wrap my head around the idea of it being green and tasting good (even though I enjoy lots of green vegetables). Too funny. Thanks for sharing this delightful recipe.
So glad I’m not alone. I’m sure the green thing is in my head but I’ve definitely seen and heard horror stories about bad green smoothies. Fruity should be the only way. ;)
I love smoothies so much – there are so many different combinations! I’m okay with green smoothies as long as a high-powered blender is used, so there isn’t any little pieces in it. But flavor is definitely key!
Flavor is key and this one does not disapoint! :)
This looks so delicious, Rachel…much more so than the one I paid $5 for at an organic grocery store last night. I’m sharing this on my FB and Twitter feeds!
Thanks so much Mary!! Ditch the store bought next time for this one. ;)
This sounds so refreshing! Love the addition of the orange juice too!
Thanks Megan!
okay, the valentine’s candy for a st. patricks day house is brilliant. i want to see that!

Thanks Amanda!
I really enjoyed The Martian too. This smoothie looks wonderful.
Thanks Sarah!
I love these flavors and how refreshing it is!
Thanks Claudia!
I make a very similar smoothie almost every morning – pineapple, strawberries, banana, Greek yogurt and water! It’s so good!
Such a great flavor combination :)
I’m a huge fan of smoothies and am always on the hunt for new recipes. I sometimes get put off by the huge list of ingredients involved. This is so simple and delicious. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Anna!
Rachel this looks so delicious! I am new to the smoothie world and I will definitely be trying this one. I am trying to lose some weight and salad just isn’t cutting it. Rather have a delicious strawberry smoothie.
I hope you enjoy it, Beth! :)
Does it turn out the same if you half the entire recipe? I would love to try it but don’t need 4 servings!
It should be just fine to cut the recipe in half. Enjoy! :)
This smoothie looks nice, Rachel. Just give it a pin.
Thanks Victoria!
Can you replace the plain or vanilla yogurt with Greek yogurt?
If that’s what you prefer, then by all means give it a try :)
I drink a lot of smoothies but have never tried one with orange juice, but this was refreshing. I used vanilla Greek yogurt and added half a banana!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! :)
I’m with you when you right about the green drinks, it doesnt look good, and the thought, just not agreeing with me either,, I wrote it down to make sure I don’t loose it. can’t hardly wait to try.
Enjoy! :)
Delicious and refreshing! My husband is bored with my plain strawberry smoothies. He (and my kids and I) loved this one!
So glad everyone enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing, Julie! :)
This is going to be a easy smoothie to make
Enjoy!
I love this recipe! Has become my new favorite smoothie!
So glad you’ve enjoyed it, Grace! :)
Great Smoothie Rachel, thanks!!
I tried yours this morning and it tasted super good. So from now, beside banana and avocado, I have pineapple on my list to combine with strawberry ;)
