Broccoli and Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread Pizza
Homemade garlic bread pizza dough, topped off with a creamy Alfredo sauce, seasoned shredded chicken, fresh broccoli and two varieties of cheese!
So I’m totally over all of the talent shows going on this summer. Completely done with them. I have some new favorites, like Scandal. Ahh… I posted a single image of the disc on Instagram and was warned how addictive it is. No joke, I watched 4 episodes straight through the other night and I have another disc showing up today. You know what I’ll be doing tonight! I mean how to do stop after watching an episode or two? It’s just not possible.
I’m also both addicted to and annoyed with Under the Dome. It’s like… really? A dome? And there’s the typical drama you’d have under these circumstances but then the questions. I don’t know. I can’t explain it. Sometimes I just want to turn it off but then I can’t. Maybe it’s because there’s nothing else to watch.
Oooh but wait… Whose Line Is It Anyway? is back on! OMG. Most hilarious show ever. If you haven’t watched, you need to. It’s funny and definitely has it’s completely inappropriate moments, but that’s why you watch after the kids are in bed. Not that they’d get the jokes anyway!
I’ve been obsessed with a few other things… specifically, ice cream and pizza. Clearly.  And no, this isn’t the last you’ll see of either in the coming weeks. I can’t help it! I’m sorry. Okay, I’m not. I mean they’re classics and variety is good.
I’ve kind of always wanted to make an Alfredo pizza, especially given my distaste for tomatoes. This is kind of dreamy in a super special way, but you don’t have to hate tomatoes to love this! You just have to love creamy goodness. Because that’s what this is. A creamy Alfredo sauce topped off with seasoned chicken, broccoli and two varieties of cheese!
Back up just one second… the crust. It’s amazing. It’s similar to the garlic bread pizza I made only not quite. It smells absolutely amazing and tastes even better.
You need this pizza in your life.
Broccoli and Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread Pizza
Ingredients
Pizza dough:
- 1 C warm water
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 1/2-3 C all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese finely grated
Pizza toppings:
- Alfredo sauce homemade or store bought
- 1 chicken breast
- 1-2 C broccoli florets
- 1-2 C whole milk mozzarella freshly shredded
- 3 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Allow yeast to activate for 5-10 minutes. In the bowl of a stand mixer, with dough hook attached, combine remaining dough ingredients. When yeast is ready, turn mixer on low and slowly pour yeast mixture in. Increase speed to medium, adding additional flour a spoonful at a time as needed until the dough is no longer sticky. Shape into a smooth ball and transfer to a lightly greased bowl. Cover and rise in a warm location until doubled in size.
- Prepare chicken with salt and pepper using your desired method, such as an indoor grill pan or large frying pan. Cook until no longer pink in the middle, cool slightly and shred. If using homemade Alfredo sauce, prepare that now as well.
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet. Shape dough into desired size and shape. Bake for 5 minutes. Coat with Alfredo sauce, leaving 1/2-1 inch exposed crust. Top off with shredded chicken and broccoli. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned.
- Slice and enjoy.

Seriously… I was dying laughing last night. You have got to catch the new episodes.
You have been killing it with awesome pizzas lately! I’ve made your garlic bread pizza and we absolutely flipped for it, so if you say this is similar — I’m there!!!
You’ll love it!
oh my yes.
Ha! ;)
I haven’t watched Who’s Line Is It Anyway since it has returned. I used to watch it all the time. Now we are too busy playing with the little one to really watch something unless I watch it when I come home for lunch.
She’d love it – get her to enjoy the silliness early on ;)
I am full on in love with Scandal!! You have to hurry up and get through the second season! OMG, it’s all sorts of CRAY!! You think the first season is awesome, just you wait. And also – this pizza is all sorts of awesome. I love it!

Thanks Angelyn!
Summer T.V is the worst but I have gotten hooked on Mistresses and Devious Maids. They are on par with Scandal drama wise. A huge slice of this pizza while watching trashy tv sounds amazing right now.
OMG yes… mistress is my other love. I can’t get enough.
I can never get into those talent shows either. I’ll have to check out Scandal once Big Brother is over – I watch the feeds pretty much all night long.
Alfredo grosses me out when it’s on pasta but I’m all about it on pizza. And I definitely wanted pizza when we drove past Pizza Hut earlier. This is just making it worse.
Forget big brother right this very second and move on to scandal! ;)
What a great combination!
Thanks Kristen!
pizza twin!! i love that this is a pasta dish atop pizza and it’s GARLIC bread pizza. that’s like an entire italian dish on a pizza…which needs to go straight in my mouth asap! i used to watch who’s line is it anyway back in the day..i didn’t really understand the humor, but i was probably too young or something to even be watching it lol
Such a youngin’ ;) You might find it funny now.
Now that’s a pizza that I could eat all in one sitting!
This pizza is making me droool… true story. And yes, with an extra O!
Ah this is like two meals in one, I’m obsessed!! Looks delicious! :)
Seeing as chicken alfredo is my favorite pizza and I can eat way too may garlic breadsticks in one sitting, this pizza needs to be made ASAP!
My oldest would go CRAZY for this. The kid loves alfredo and broccoli. It’s his favorite pizza. Such a weird 6 year old, right?! lol
OMG that’s crazy awesome though
Oh yes! You can’t go wrong with these flavors :) this looks so amazing!
This pizz looks aaaammmaaaaazzzing. Seriously so good!! And I was curious about Scandal. I’ll check it out. And I think I’ve hear of Under the Dome being based on a Stephen King book.
You’ll love Scandal! Super addicting.
Looks delicious. Thanks for the recipe.
Do you think that this will be good without the chicken? I am trying to find recipes for my boyfriend who is a vegetarian, I am not and will definatley be putting chicken on my slices, but do you think that if i took it off for him it would be good, or would it be lacking?
If he enjoys Alfredo sauce and broccoli, then yes I imagine that would be fine :) In most cases just omitting meat should be sufficient as long as he likes the toppings you pick. Enjoy!
Do you use fresh of frozen broccoli? Do you precook it at all?
I used fresh raw (uncooked) broccoli for this.
I have never heard about Alfredo sauce before. When I read your post, It seemed to be delicious, so I searched for the recipe and found it at allrecipes.com. And today I made this sauce and your broccoli and chicken pizza and I’m so delighted! It is soooo good! I will make it again for sure. And this pizza dough with garlic and parmesan is also great. Thanks :)
So glad you enjoyed it!
BOOM! Awesome Pizza!!!
