Maybe you already know how ridiculously obsessed I am with breakfast. Or maybe you don’t. And in that case… I am seriously head over heels in love with breakfast any time of the day, for any meal of the day. Eggs, bacon, toast, English muffins and waffles make me happy, oh so very very happy. But not pancakes, those are in a separate category of their own and they need to be super duper special and amazing for me to want to eat them.

This past weekend while at the Mixed Conference, I got pretty giddy when I saw the giant pile of bacon… okay and of course when I saw there was a waffle station at breakfast. I mean come on, how perfect and fun is that? I got to make my own Belgian waffle and soak it in sweet maple syrup with a side of cinnamon apples. Are you drooling yet? Because I kind of am.

For the longest time I was being tortured by waffle posts from other bloggers. You see… I didn’t have a waffle iron, but grew up eating waffles so I loved them and yet had no way of enjoying them besides frozen or restaurant. How completely awful and totally wrong of me to not have one. So I went on the hunt for the perfect waffle iron. That lead me to Calphalon’s no peak waffle maker.
